Across Bhutan Tour
Itinerary Detail
Day 1 Fly to Paro from Kathmandu Drive to Thimpu and overnight at hotel.
Day 2 AM-Drive to Drukgyel Dzong, 18 kms, from the hotel. On the way back visit a typical Bhutanese farm, and a short visit to a 7th century temple. After lunch visit the Ta-Dzong that houses the National Museum of Bhutan followed by a short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel. Day 3 In the morning drive to Satsam Chorten. Two hour trek to Taksang cafeteria. Hot lunch at the Cafeteria followed by a short walk back to Satsam Chorten and a 2 hour drive to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel. Day 4 Sightseeing at Memorial Chorten, National Library, Nuns’ Monastery, Changlimithang Monastery, Indigenous Hospital. Lunch there. After lunch, free time. 5 P.M.: visit to the Tashichdzong (Thimphu Dzong). Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 3-hour drive to Punkha across the Dochula Pass and Lunch there. After lunch visit the Punkha Dzong. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 In the morning, drive 3 hours to Gantay Gompa. A packed lunch will be served. After lunch drive back to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 In the morning, a performance by the Folk and Mask Dance performed by the Royal Dance Academy. Lunch at hotel. After lunch, free time. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 Early morning dive to Paro to fly to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
