Trip Overview

Gale Gaon Trekking Ghale Gaon is a beautiful village occupied by Gurung people, a indigenous group of Nepal, nestled amidst great mountains on the of the green hills. The view from the villages stretches from Buddha himal, Himalchuli, Manasalu, Peak 26 to the northeast Mt. Lamjung, Mt. Annapurna I and II and Mt. Machhapuchhare. We arrive this beautiful village after two days trek from Beshisahar, the headquarter of Lamjung district. After one night stay in Ghalegaon with cultural show of local inhabitants we move to the way of Dudhapokhari. Dudhapokhari is a sacred lake and also the major pilgrimage site of local inhabitants where great fair is occurred on Janai Purnima in August. Visiting this lake we trek down to Beshi Sahar via the same previous route.  This trekking trail passes through the dense forests, villages and awesome waterfalls. Colorful rhododendrons, chirping sound of the birds on the trail simply takes all the trekkers close up with the nature. To trek in this trail apart from conservation fee no special permits is required.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Upon arrival in Kathmandu international airport, transfer to the hotel. Orientation of the trip. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Drive to Beshi Sahar. O/n at hotel Beshisahar.
Day 03: Morning four wheel drive to Kapoor Gaon. Afternoon Trek to Ghale gaon .O/n in camp.
Day 04: Ghale gaon to Telbrug Danda (6 hrs). O/n in camp.
Day 05: Telbrug Danda to Khudi Khola (4 hrs)). O/n in camp.
Day 06: Khudi Khola to Thurju (3 hrs). Excursion around Thurju (4 hrs) ). O/n in camp.
Day 07: Day hike to the  Dudha Pokhari. (5hrs). O/n in camp.
Day 08: Thurju to Telbrung Danda (7 hrs) ). O/n in camp.
Day 09: Telbrung Danda to Ghale Gaon (4 hrs). O/n in tent
Day 10: Ghale gaon to Kuldi (4 hr). O/n in tent
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu. 8h drive. O/n at hotel in Kathmandu
Day 12: Transfer to Kathmandu international airport for your onward journey.
