Kathmandu Valley Tour

The Kathmandu Valley is indeed a sole type of valley, wearing an unusual setting. Twenty-five centuries back it stood as a large lake. The Kathmandu valley (1300m) is surrounded by row of green mountain walls above which tower mighty snow-capped peaks. This tour might be one of the best trips to have a full picturesque view of the valley. The rich arras of the cultural heritage of Nepal is synthesized in the Kathmandu valley as well as further closest religious and cultural destination.

Kathmandu valley is the political, commercial and cultural hub of Nepal and is the first stop for the majority of visitors to the country. The valley today incorporates three major settlements; Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan, each have their own distinctive character with outstanding temples, works of art and architecture and a varied calendar of feasts and festivals, all three have their roots in being capital cities of the valleys three principality's in times gone by.The three cities contain 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The ancient cities of the valley – Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, Chovar and Dakshinkali represent an epitome of harmony in urban design, elegant architecture and refined culture.

Outline Itinerary

Day1 Arrive at Kathmandu meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Free at leisure

Day2 After breakfast  Sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple- the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to lord Shiva, built in 1696. Boudha Nath Temple- the worlds largest stupa; a sight of great reneration to the Buddhist, Swayambhunath temple - the oldest Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below. And lunch break in Kathmandu durbar square. – The temple of the Living Goddess and the old Royal Palace. Finally, visit Kasthamandup – a temple built from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives its name. And then transfer to Hotel.

Day3 Early in the morning Mountain flight (1hrs) and  after breakfast  sight seeing Patan Durbar Square, like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace complex is the center of Patan’s religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. One remarkable monument here is a 17th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu god Krishna, built entirely of stone. After having lunch, drive continues to Nagarkot, which is one of the nearest and most famous Mountain View point from Kathmandu. Enjoy the sunset over the Himalayas.

Day4 View Sunrise over the Himalaya in the early morning, take breakfast then drive back to Kathmandu . En route, you'll visit Bhaktapur city- also known as the city of devotees. After having lunch, drive continues to Kathmandu . Evening free with Nepali cultural dance &  dinner  and  overnight at Hotel.

Day 05 To the airport for your final departure
