Himal Reisen has prepared a special tour package of Buddhist pilgrimage in Nepal. If you have interest please join our group. Buddha, An idol of peace and harmony all over the world since two millennium. King Suddhodhana and queen Maya Devi gave birth to a child called Siddhartha Gautam some 2500 years ago as a crown prince of kingdom of Kapilvastu, Lumbini. The little child latter known as Lord Buddha throughout the world. Lumbini the birth place of Buddha is greatest pilgrimage site for Buddhist around the world. It lies some 300 km southwest of Kathmandu near the border of India. There are many sign and symbol of Buddha’s childhood days still in existence around the Lumbini garden.
There are hundreds of thousands of Buddhist around the world these days. Every Buddhist soul wants to visit Lumbini and other Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal once in life time. Being the birth land of Buddha there are lot to offer in Nepal. This tour is carefully made to cover all important Buddhist sites and beautiful Himalayan view point. Lumbini itself very sacred place, it houses a small pond where Buddha was bathed after his birth, image of young Buddha with his mother, a stone pillar was erected by Indian emperor Ashok to mark the importance of the site.
Along with Lumbini and surrounding area, in Kathmandu we visit Swyambhu Nath the oldest stupa in the world, which was found some 2000 years ago, Bouddha Nath the biggest stupa of the world with many Buddhist monk from Nepal and Tibet can be meet. We visit the major Buddhist places in Nepal / India.

Itinerary Detail
Day 01: Kathmandu at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to hotel. O/N at hotel.
Day 02: Full day Kathmandu sightseeing Pashupatinath Temple (the Hindus Holiest Shrine), Boudhanath (the 7th century Buddhist Monument) also called Khasti, visit Buddha Bihars (Monasteries). O/N at hotel.
Day 03: Transfer to Bhairahawa by plane or by tourist coach. O/N at hotel Lumbini.
Day 04: Visit Lumbini (the birth place of Lord Buddha) and after lunch hour departure for Sravasti. O/N at Sravasti.
Day 05: Visit Sravasti the Buddhist interest places like Anand Buddha tree, Jatavana Monastery, age-old stupas etc and dept for Varanasi, Varanasi arrival late in the evening check in hotel. O/N Varanasi.
Day 06: Full day Varanasi sightseeing, you will be visiting besides the Holi ghats of river ganges, Vishwanath Temple of Golden Temple (with 800kg of gold plating on its tower) Banaras Hindi University, Tulsimanas Temple, Durga Temple. Ramnagar, Fort, Museum and Bharat Mata Temple. Sarnath, where lord Buddha preached his first sermon. O/N Varanasi.
Day 07: Departure for Budhgaya. Check in Hotel. O/N Budhgaya.
Day 08: Budhgaya sightseeing: you will be visiting the Buddhist interest places, such as Mahabudhi Temple, Budhi tree, Budhi saroval, Chankamana etc. O/N Budhgaya.
Day 09: Budhgaya to Patna. You will be driving Patna via Nalanda, Rajgir, there you will be exploring places like the Surya Mandir, the Nalanda Meuseum, Ajatashatru’s fort Venuvana etc. Reaching Patna. O/N Patna.
Day 10: Patna to Kushinagar: you will be driving to Kushinagar via vaishali, you will be exploring the city of vaishali visiting the places like Ashoka Piller, Bawan Pokhar Temple, Buddha Stupa-I & Buddhist Stupa II, Shanti Stupa etc. Reaching Kushinagar Chek in Hotel O/N Kushinagar.
Day 11: Morning Visit Khushinagar. It was in Kushinagar where lord Buddha breathed his last. Here you will explore places like RamabharStupa (where lord Buddha was buried) Statue of Buddha etc. and departure for Bhairahawa. O/N at Bhairahawa.
Day 12: Bhairahawa - Dhulikhel – Namobuddha a hill top where many famous Buddhist people mediated. O/N Dhulikhel.
Day 13: Dhulikhel to Kathmandu by plane or Tourist Coach. O/N at Kathmandu.
Day 14: Transfer to airport for your onward destination.
