Lhasa to Mt. Kailash Tour : 19 Days
It is possible to make a tour to Mt.
Kailash and Lake Manasarovar combining with the highlighted
places of central Tibet (Tsedang, Samye, Lhasa, Gyantse,
Shigatse, Yangpachen and Sakya). Generally, our tour
covers Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse and Sakya then eventually
it merges with the major route (Kathmandu-Kailash)
in Saga (small Tibetan town) the continue follow the
same route for the entire journey. Our tour to Mt.
Kailash & Lake Manasarovar from Lhasa requires
at least 19 days. However, depending on the time frame
and places we would like to cover in the tour, the
tour can go longer or even shorter too.
Lhasa to Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar tour commences
from Kathmandu with an hour & 10 minutes Trans-Himalayan
flight to Gonggar airport (Tibet). Our Tibetan guide
meets you at the airport and escorts you to the main
city (Lhasa) which is 98 km away from the airport.
In Lhasa, we make two days guided sightseeing tour
for two days that covers almost all the highlighted
places situated inside Lhasa. After that we start
our journey to Mt. Kailash and lake Manasarovar via
Gynatse, Shigatse and Sakya Monastery. As usual, “Lhasa
to Mt. Kailash Tour” consists of a 3 days circumambulation
around holy Mt. Kailash. The tour ends at Zhang-Mu.

Day 01: Flight to Lhasa - meet at the airport and
transfer to your hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Lhasa. We visit, Potala
Palace, Sera Monastery and Norbulinka
Day 03: Sightseeing tour of Lhasa. We visit, Drepung
Monastery, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Square
Day 04: Drive, Lhasa / Shigatse via Northern highway.
O/N Shigatse
Day 05: Visit Tashilunbo Monastery and drive to Lhatse.
O/N Lhatse
Day 06: Lhatse / Sangsang, camp
Day 07: Sangsang / Saga, camp
Day 08: Saga / Paryang, camp
Day 09: Paryang / Mayum-La pass, camp
Day 10: Mayum-La pass / Darchen, guest house
Day 11: Darchen to Deraphuk Gomba - Trekking around
Mt. Kailash
Day 12: Deraphuk Gomba to Zutul Phuk Gomba - Trekking
around Mt. Kailash
Day 13: Finish trek and drive to Lake Manasarovar
Day 14: Rest at Lake Manasarovar, camp
Day 15: Manasarovar to Paryang , o/n camp
Day 16: Paryang to Saga, camp
Day 17: Saga to Peiku Lake, camp
Day 18: Peiku Lake to Nyalam, O/N guest house
Day 19: Drive, Nyalam / Zhangmu then drive back to
Kathmandu.
